Despite the glamour that pervaded the Ark Event Center,Lekki,venue of last Saturday’s star studded wedding of Peter Okoye, of P Square fame and his cherub faced belle, Lola Omotayo.The conspicuous absence of wedding Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga,his elder brother,a number top showbiz notables ,like Tuface,Dbanj,Whizkid,Davido,took a little shine off the event. Prior to the grand nuptial ,the reclusive billionaire, headlined the publicity build up to the much anticipated Sunday November 17 traditional wedding as Chairman. He didn't attend,but was represented by his Globacom’s Chief Operating Officer Mohamed Jameel.The observable absence of Jude Okoye,the elder brother of the famous twin,also left many tongues wagging.Many were discussed in hush tones,that Jude and some other member of the Okoye family are not in support of the union.Although,friends of the couple debunked the rumour, that his absence, was a result of an important engagement in Ghana.Many sniggered loud,that if there wasn’t an element of truth in the insinuation,he should have come back to Nigeria,with the twin,who reportedly returned from the Glo Slide and Bounce show in Accra,on the morning of the wedding.Same for superstars Tuface,Dbanj and reigning sensation Whizkid and Davido.Although Dbanj was said to have vindicated himself by lamenting his absence on social media,Twitter,claiming he was stuck in South Africa,after a late Friday show.Also inclusive in the missing list were fellow Globacom Ambassadors, Waje, Wande Coal, Omawumi, Bez, Burna Boy,who were said to unavailable due to performance engagements or issues relating to such.The grand wedding was however lifted by the presence of Forbes rated billionaires Aliko Dangote and Folorunsho Alakija.Businessman Sayyu Dantata,politician,Abike Dabiri,Football stars,Kanu Nwankwo and Emmanuel Adebayor also added the needed prestige to the wedding. With alluring musical presentations from Flavour, KCEE, Iyanya, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, J Martins, Phyno, M.I, Lynxxx, Ice Prince and Naeto and special mind blowing performance from groom,left the guest in great delight.
