MINISTRY OF AVIATION CONFIRMS PURCHASE OF JUST TWO CARS WORTH #255M FOR STELLA ODUAH

So Sahara Reporters was right after all. Yesterday an aide of aviation minister Stella Oduah called the report 'mere rumour' but the ministry of aviation have confirmed that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority indeed bought two bulletproof BMW cars worth $1.6m (N255m) for Ms Oduah.

Special Assistant (Media) to the aviation minister, Joe Obi, told Punch that the vehicles were purchased to protect the minister from some external threats. He said the vehicles were procured in response to the clear and imminent threat to the minister’s personal security and life following the bold steps she took to reposition the sector.
"When she came on board as the minister, she inherited a lot of baggage in terms of the concession and lease agreements in the sector, which were clearly not in the interest of the government and people of Nigeria.
“And so, she took bold steps and some of these agreements were reviewed and some were terminated, and these moves disturbed some entrenched interests in the sector, and within this period, she began to receive some imminent threats to her life; therefore, the need for the vehicles." Joe Obi said
N255million on just two cars? Does that even makes sense?

8MONTHS PREGNANT WOMAN DEFEATS TEAM IN BASKET BALL GAME

31-year old Rebekkah Brunson who is 8 months pregnant and plays basket ball for the Minnesota Lynx, has lead her team to defeat the Atlanta Dream during the week. Rebekkah's due date is November 8 and here is how her coach described her tremendous performance during the match.

“She did it all—blocking shots, snagging rebounds, and absolutely dominating in the paint. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player just blow through the lane like that. No one could guard her.”

“When she threw her weight around down low, she was unstoppable,” Rebekkah was boxing out every other player on the court to get rebounds, and to do that against a team as good as the Dream was really something special.”

I think someone should sue the coach for allowing her play that game. What u all think????

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE GENEVIEVE AS MY WIFE -DBANJ FINALLY OPENED UP

It's nice to hear him say he would love to marry her. I wish he'd just stop saying it and just do it.

He granted an interview to reporters on Wednesday which was published in Punch today where he talked about his career and his relationship with Genevieve. And guys, please stop all this 'it's just a publicity stunt' It wasn't. They didn't just date, they were madly in love. Read the interview below.
Singer, Dapo Oyebanji, aka D’banj, finally opened up on his love life in a rare meeting with journalists in Lagos on Wednesday.
The self-styled Kokomaster was clearly in his elements as he talked at length, amid occasional bouts of laughter, about his career and other issues that were important to him. One of the subjects was about his rumoured relationship with Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji.
Judging by the manner in which the actress’ name kept popping off his lips, it was obvious that D’banj had a very soft spot for her.
Aware that the grapevine had bristled with the rumour that he was romantically involved with Genevieve, ever since she appeared in the 2010 video of his hit song, ‘Fall in Love’, the singer said the actress had played a role in his success.
“Apart from the fact that she is my friend, she has been a part of my success. There is no way you are going to tell my story that Genevieve’s name will not come up because she featured in my biggest song of all time, Fall in Love. So if E True Story comes to Nigeria to interview me, she will definitely be called upon to tell my story,” he said.
As if to confirm that there was more to his relationship with the actress than he had always admitted, D’banj added,
“I would love to have Genevieve as my wife.  We never can tell what God plans for us in the future. I have studied her and I realised that anyone that has her as his woman has found himself a treasure. Just like the Bible says, any man who finds a wife, finds a good thing.”
On remaining relevant, he said:
“So much has happened in the last 18 months and I am very thankful to God. By the Grace of God, I have remained relevant for nearly a decade in the music industry and I have released hit songs every year. Also, I am glad that I have been chosen to headline the Hennessy Artistry this year. This is one brand that understands the importance of aligning with the entertainment industry.
“My career is barely 10 years old. But with the success I have achieved so far, it feels like three decades already. Within my first 10 years as a musician, I have recorded the biggest song and shot the most viewed music video of all time, ‘Oliver Twist’. I must say I am humbled and getting ready to take over,” he said.
Without mincing words, D’banj noted that the history of his career and the resulting accomplishments will be incomplete without mentioning his humble beginning with the defunct Mo’Hits Records. The mere mention of his erstwhile colleagues, including Don Jazzy, seemed to awaken nostalgic feelings in him.
“If I say I don’t miss Don Jazzy, I am lying. I have spent the better part of my career with him. I was married to him in a way (laughs). So I miss everything about Mo’Hits: the family, the movement, and the vibe of being in the studio with him. I miss the jokes and the arguments, but I have since keyed into the notion that nothing can stop a moving train.
“Nevertheless we can always do music together. The track, ‘Top of the World’ was produced by a Grammy Award Winner. The songs ‘Finally’ and ‘Don’t Tell Me Nonsense’ was produced by my producer while ‘Oliver Twist’ was produced by Don Jazzy. So, why won’t I have him on my 10 years anniversary album?
“I have never said I am a musician; I am an entertainer. Some people say I can pick up a microphone and become a comedian. Therefore nobody should come and ask if I want to go into acting because they should know I am already an actor. It depends on when the right script and concept lands in my hands.
“For now, I am concerned about achieving new things and breaking new grounds. By the time I enter Hollywood, I believe that I’ll become as successful as I have been as a singer. The movie titled ‘I am Banga Lee’, starring Genevieve, to be released in 2014, won’t be a bad idea,” He said.

NIKE OSHINOWO'S ESTRANGED HUSBAND SAYS TWINS STORY ISNT TRUE

Nike Oshinowo's estranged husband is obviously in the dark about her new adventure  Nike has a set of twins which she welcomed via a surrogate mum many weeks back...but a clueless Dr Tunde Soleye says the story is not true.

He told Encomium mag
"I don't believe it is true. The story is false. They are just trying to sell their papers, I guess. Nike might have a challenge but this is the last thing she can do. ACTOR KALU IKEAGWU SPEAKS ON WHY HE IS STILL SINGLE

Here is what he told Daily Sun;

“Do I want to get married? Yes. But that would be when I find the right person; I mean that person I love so much and want to spend the rest of my life with; that’s when I’ll settle down.

The reason why I am not married now is that marriage is very important to me. I have come to terms with the fact that marriage is the most important institution from God. And I take that very seriously. Ultimately I would like my relationship with my wife to be like that between God and the church; that’s why it is important to me. I wouldn’t say it’s been challenging though. I have gone through a lot of experiences that made me wise. When I get married, my experiences would make me a wise, good and a loving father.

I like a woman with a great sense of humor; that’s very important to me. And of course, she has to be very attractive and intelligent. Above everything else she should have a close relationship with God because that’s very important to me as well. That’s exactly why I am yet to get married. I want to be successful in my marriage just as I am in my career.”

DON JAZZY AND CLARENCE PETERS ARE HOT,I LIKE GUYS THAT TALK LESS BUT DO MORE-MAHEEDA

BellaNaija had this interview with Maheeda where she said it all. She held no words back. She said, 'I have been begging Nigerian artistes to collaborate with me, but them never answer me yet'. Lol but who will? She also talks about her many semi nude pictures and marriage

Will you be collaborating with any musicians in the near future?

Hopefully, I will be collaborating with a few musicians in the near future. I am currently begging a lot of them now. Since they have now passed my level, I want them to pull me up to theirs but them never answer me yet. Let’s see how the Nigerian music industry supports their own. At the end of the day though, if they don’t support me, I guess it’s just between me and my God then. And, my God is one who makes a way where it seems to be no way.
Who does Maheeda find sexy?
I think that Clarence Peters and Don Jazzy are really hot. I like the kind of guy that talks less but does more. If you apply that in bed, hmmm, it’s really sexy. I love surprises, in and out of bed. I want to be ‘wow’-ed. I want the guy to make me wander (laughs)
How would you feel if your daughter started putting up semi-nude photos on her own Instagram page?
My daughter is thirteen years old and well- trained. Schools in Europe teach sex education. They teach them what to do as a teenager and they also teach them what not to do. At home as well, I put more light into what the school has taught her. My daughter knows her limits and I am a happy mum. Some pastors’ kids end up always being in clubs and it’s by their choice. One thing I’ll just say is that children will make choices. We, as parents, can only pray that they make good ones.
 How has married life been?
Married life is like another school. I am learning how to love, how to forgive; how to share, how to care for and make love to someone who is imperfect, knowing fully well that you are not perfect yourself. I’m learning a lot. I’m also learning self control, forgiveness and faithfulness. It’s a big learning time for me. I just want to say that I thank God for my husband. He is my superman.
Since you got married last year, you’ve moved to Holland with your family. How has it been living there and what do you miss most about Nigeria?
Life in Holland is great. Apart from marrying a millionaire, the government has really made life easy for us here. So, honestly, I can say that I miss nothing about living back in Nigeria

FEMI FANI KAYODE THINKS AVIATION MINISTER SHOULD BE SACKED BECAUSE OF THE SEVERAL PLANE CRASHES!!! WHAT DO U GUYS THINK?

June 3rd 2012 witnessed a plane crash in Nigeria in which over 163 people were killed.
Over one year later on 3rd October 2013 there was another plane crash in which 17 people died.

Before the first crash took place last year and between the two major crashes there were numerous other smaller ones involving light aircrafts, helicopters etc. that were not publicised.
All these these unfortunate events occurred under the tenure of Princess Stella Oduah, the Hon. Minister of Aviation.

Under her watch close to 200 Nigerians have been killed in air crashes in the last two years alone. This does not surprise me because it was predictable considering her spiritual and emotional disposition.

What surprises me is the fact that just one day after those that perished in the latest crash were killed, before the victims were buried, before the site of the crash was cleared, before the charred remains of some of the broken bodies still lay on the crash site and before any formal investigation into the causes of the crash have even commenced, let alone been concluded, the ruling PDP, through their spokesman Chief Olisa Metuh, has told the world that they have ''full confidence'' in Stella Oduah and that ''she should be allowed to continue her good work''.

Is there any greater evidence of the fact that the PDP is a sick party that is led by sick people than this?

Such insensitivity is rarely seen anywhere in the world. Only in Nigeria can this happen. I wonder if Metuh would have been so quick to speak up for the Minister of Aviation if she had been a yoruba and if the crash had taken place at Enugu airport whilst the body of a former Igbo governor with some of his family members and government officials was being flown home for burial.
I imagine that in that scenario they would have asked for his or her head.

I really do wonder about these people. How many more people have to killed in air crashes before our President realises that he needs a new Minister of Aviation?

There is far more to aviation than beautifying airports. The first and most important consideration has to be the safety of the passengers followed by the seriousness, discipline and efficiency of the aviation parastatals and the airworthiness of the planes.

Most important of all when a plane crashes, whatever the reasons or causes, the Minister ought to assume full responsibility and even offer his or her resignation or be removed.
This is because it is his or her primary responsibility to keep air travellers safe and alive.

Sadly it does not appear that this is likely to happen anytime soon. As a matter of fact I am convinced that even if 1,000 people were killed in air crashes in the space of just one year under Goodluck Jonathan he still would not redeploy or sack Stella Oduah because our President just ''doesn't give a damn''.

May God help us and may He keep our skies safe.

ASSOCIATED AIRLINE VICTIMS

Two crew members of Associated Airline survived the plane crash that happened on Thursday morning. Toyin Samson  and Queeneth Owolabi  were siting at the back of the plane when it went down. They are currently being treated for third degree burns at the Ikeja General Hospital. Queeneth who is a mother of two is in a worse shape than Toyin who can talk and communicate with visitors.

OLU FALAE'S LOST SON TOO IN THE AGAGU PLANE CRASH!

Chief Olu Falae lost his son, Deji Falae, on Thursday 3rd October in the Associated Airline plane which crashed shortly after take-off. The former Secretary to the Federal Government said he lost a political successor in his son. Deji, who was the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, led the state government’s delegation to accompany the corpse of  former Ondo State governor, Chief Olusegun Agagu from Lagos to Akure, for the a state burial.

Falae, who was still grieving over the loss, told the visiting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, that he had reached the peak of his political sojourn.
“I was looking forward to seeing Deji take over from me, because I have reached the peak of my being in politics. I will miss him so much,” he said.
Tambuwal had visited the home of the chieftain to commiserate with him and his family over the Thursday plane crash. Tambuwal said Deji was his friend and had sent useful text messages to him on how to move the country forward, four days before the unfortunate incident.

HOW WE SURVIVED THE PLANE CRASH - FEYI AGAGU

A close family friend of Feyi, son of late Chief Agagu, who is one of the survivors of the ill fated Associated Airlines flight, told Vanguard that he (Feyi) was initially reluctant to enter the plane after seeing how old it looked.He and others survived basically by sitting at the back of the plane. Below is what a family insider Feyi spoke to said;
“The young man said that once they got to the tarmac before boarding and once he sighted the plane, what struck him was the seemingly very old look of the plane. Feyi said he didn’t like the looks of the plane. He also said but for the importance and significance of the trip, his inner sense didn’t feel comfortable boarding the plane.
"In fact, Feyi said he told another survivor, Femi Akinsanya, that the plane looked too old and he didn’t feel like boarding. But Feyi said he was told not to get himself worked up needlessly since this was not going to be his first time aboard a plane neither would this be the first old-looking plane that he would board. That was how he said he boarded the plane”.
“Feyi recounted how he and Femi Akinsanya boarded the plane and moved straight to the back end to take up seats. Why Feyi chose the back seat”, the source said, “was more a function of his state of mind about the state of the plane rather than a preference for taking a back seat.

“When they sat down, Feyi told me that he and Femi simply prayed that they should just take off and land safely, oblivious of what lay ahead of them. “Feyi said once they took off, everything happened so fast. What he also told me was that both he and Femi noticed what looked like a crack not far from where they sat at the rear end of the plane

“He said everything happened so fast that by the time the plane crashed on the ground, it was that crack that had been noticed earlier that transformed into a gapping exit point upon impact on the ground.

“Feyi said the exit point created was where he and Femi escaped through”.

Another source further revealed that most of the survivors of the crash appeared to be those seated at the rear end of the plane.

Though 23years old, the plane, according to Balami David, the President of the National Association of Pilots and Engineers, during a television interview, reportedly operated some days before the ill-fated flight

REAL REASONS AGAGU CASKET WAS INTACT DESPITE THE PLANE CRASH KILLED 13

Not only was the casket carrying Agagu's corpse intact after the plane crashed on Thursday morning, people who opened the casket shortly after the crash said the cap on his head stayed intact and his body wasn't ruffled. These discoveries have baffled so many, with some insinuating it's JAZZ. But the reason is really simple. The casket was latched to the hooks in the cargo compartment of the plane and was placed in the rear end of the plane. People who sat at the back of the plane survived the crash, so the casket, which was kept at the back also survived the crash.

Meanwhile during his burial on Friday, his widow Funke Agagu insisted on seeing the body before he is buried. She was photographed praying for the body before he was lowered into his grave.
