HER MESSAGE

On the 15th of January 2014,  I got married to my lover and Best Friend. It was such an intimate event, I haven't stopped apologising to family and friends who feel slighted that they could not attend.  I really did not wish to keep it a secret, If anything we would have loved to have all our loved ones there with us but this was our registry and  so much had happened between Maje and I in the last 3 months. Plus, it was such a huge surprise, I had no clue. I hate surprises but I must say, this one knocked me out of my elements because i usually suspect something is happening. Hehehehe!  I am not fully over it yet.
Relationships are tough, people go through the ups and downs and we as a couple have had our share of that. Having a private moment was not to offend anyone, it was God's appointed time and No, I am not pregnant. Lol.  Having a baby is a precious gift from God and when that time is right, I am sure he will bless us with ours. Without boring you all, cos you mean so much to me, I have decided to share some of the pictures from the happiest day of my life.

Life Imprisonment Prisoner Gets Bachelor’s Degree From National Open University

A middle aged man, Tuwanse Kabiru serving life sentence in kirikiri, on Saturday graduated with 4,308 students at the 3rd convocation of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), in Lagos. Kabiru was sentenced to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of murder. The prisoner who came in company of the prison officials was awarded a Bachelors degree (BA) in Human Resource Management.

“I want to thank God for what he is doing in my life. I have always had hope in God and that is what inspired me to enrol. I was actually imprisoned after being found guilty of committing murder and I have served 11 years so far. I am still hopeful that things will turnaround one day for the better having achieved what I have today,” he said.

The Assistant Controller-General Nigeria Prisons, Chuks Afejue, hailed the courage displayed by the graduating inmate, saying he was the first to enrol and kick start academic activities at the prisons study centre.

According to him, this will prove to people that the prison is not just a dumping ground for those who seem not to have any more hope.

“The prison is a place where reforms and rehabilitation take place. Currently, we have a total of 48 inmates who are enrolled in all the four major prisons study centres across the country.

“It is an exciting exercise and we want to seize this opportunity to plead with the Federal government to try and temper justice with mercy, having achieved this feat. He pleaded on behalf of Tuwanse.

Nigerian Man Dupes 66-Year Old US Divorcee Over $500,000 On Christian Dating Site

A 66-year-old woman looking for love online ended up with a broken heart and bank account when she lost $500,000 to suitor on a Christian dating site. The San Jose divorcee met a Nigerian man on ChristianMingle.com falsely claiming to be Irish citizen 'David Holmes', according to the Santa Clara District Attorney's Office.

Holmes said he worked on a Scottish oil rig, and his profile picture turned out to be a picture of a male model downloaded from the internet. The two never met in person, but talked over the phone and Holmes even sent the woman flowers.

Eventually he convinced her to loan him $300,000 for his oil business - funds she supplied from her retirement account. After wiring him an additional $200,000 to a bank in Turkey, the woman got suspicious and informed the DA's office.

Cherie Bourland of the elder fraud unit called the bank in Turkey and was successfully able to freeze the funds before Holmes' associate Wisdom Onokpite showed up to withdraw the money, according to CBS San Francisco.

Onokpite was arrested by the Turkish National Police on suspicion of committing fraud. The DA's office traced Holmes to Nigeria - a 'hot bed of online scams' - and he remains free.

While the woman was able to get her $200,000 back, Ms Bourland says there's just a '1 per cent' chance she'll recover the over $300,000 because 'it's just impossible to track down' and federal authorities won't investigate losses below $1million.

Ms Bourland says reports of lost money on dating sites has been on the rise, especially among the elderly since 'studies show the ability to make financial decisions is the first to be affected by aging.'
'You get the love drug in you and you end up getting duped,' she told the San Jose Mercury News.

Celebrity twitter beef continues: Nick Cannon vs Chelsea Handler

The beef between actor/TV host Nick Cannon and comedian/Talkshow host Chelsea Handler didn't start today. Back in 2010 Nick called Chelsea ugly white trash after she branded him unfunny in an unprovoked Twitter attack. Looks like three years later, Chelsea and Nick are still beefing...

Some days ago Chelsea made some not-so-nice comments about Nick and his family on her talkshow and when word got back to Nick, he went off on Twitter.
