Woman Found Naked In Lagos Gutter

What won’t we see or hear in this Lagos.  A woman this morning in one of the heavy government gutters which are permanently sealed around Albati Barracks, Ojuelegba screamed for help from deep inside the gutter and people wondered how she got there. A passer-by who heard her scream, tried to help her, but he couldn’t because there was no way he could get into the gutter to help her out. As she screamed the more, people gathered around her, and had to look for a welder to cut one of the barricades to rescue her.

By the time she got out, they discovered she was naked. They asked her how she got there and she couldn’t give a good explanation but said; ‘My name is Aminat Jimoh. It was God that sent me here. He said I should confess my sins so that I won’t die. Please I need water to drink, help me. I don’t know how I found myself here. Please help me’. Continue after the cut.

She was later taken away in ambulance for medical attention. But trust Nigerians, a whole lot of them said she must have being a witch and was probably flying before she fell into the gutter and turned back into a human being, and couldn’t find her way out

To avoid long lines and red tape, a source tells RadarOnline.com, the couple’s lawyers recommended they hold a civil ceremony in the United States prior to their French nuptials on May 24.
“Typically, the U.S. recognizes citizens getting married in France, but dealing with a foreign government and paperwork could be a nightmare,” the insider explains. “So just to make sure it’s legal, Kim and Kanye will first be having a civil ceremony in Southern California.”
Next, the couple will cross the Atlantic for their dream ceremony in Paris— and French law dictates that there be two wedding ceremonies

Estranged wife of Pastor Chris Okafor accuses him of assault

The estranged wife of the pastor of Mountain of Liberation Miracles Ministires, Dr. Chris Okafor, has accused him of beating her up at their home in Magodo, Lagos, Punch reports.

Bessem Okafor, who has been separated from Dr Okafor for two years and lives apart from him, said she had gone to her former marital home a few weeks ago to visit her four kids who were in the custody of their father when trouble started.

Bessem told Punch
“I have not seen my children for nine months and our lawyers agreed that I could come see them at home after school hours by 5pm. I went to the house at the appointed time, but my children were not there. I had to wait outside in the compound until 10pm before my husband arrived; the children were not with him. They were later brought home by the driver about 12am. By then it was clear I couldn’t leave again, I had to spend the night. Continue...
The following morning, I bathed and dressed them for school. They pleaded with me to stay back until they returned and since I hardly spent time with them the day before, I agreed.”
A few hours after her children had left for school, Bessem received a phone call from Chris who had also left the house. He allegedly questioned her presence in the house and ordered her to leave.
When Bessem insisted on staying till her children returned from school, Chris allegedly sent a policeman who was part of his entourage to the house.

She said,
“The policeman told me to leave the house. At that time, I was wearing only my dress. I had washed my undies and spread them to dry since I didn’t come with extra. I told the policeman that I would leave after my children returned from school. Later, Chris came in and on seeing me, he started beating me and dragged me out of the house.”
She said some policemen came to arrest her, but could not go with them because her clothes were torn. The following day after making a complaint of assault at the Isheri Police Division, she was hospitalised at the Solid Rock Hospital, in the Ojodu/Berger area.

A copy of her medical report made available to Punch said Bessem was brought in for treatment after a brawl with her spouse.
It reads in part,
“Examination revealed a middle aged woman in distress with multiple bruises, BP 140/80mmhg and pulse rate 104bpm. There was inflammation around the left knee and tenderness along the spine. She was subsequently admitted, placed on intravenous fluids and managed as case of multiple trauma secondary to domestic violence.”
The report was signed by one Dr. Ametepee T. M.
Chris, when contacted, did not respond to calls and a text message to his phone. However, Chris lawyer, Ubani, said,
“Bessem has made all sorts of allegations against her husband,  but what she has failed to tell you is that she left her marriage of her own volition. She ended her marriage with her infidelity. She would leave her house, come back at late hours and would not tell her husband where she has been.
“The couple are already in court for divorce. This particular incident you are asking about, it was Bessem who tore her own clothes. Chris never laid a hand on her. Why did she not get a medical report from a government hospital?
“If she was truly assaulted she would have gone to the station to make a report. Then they would give her a paper to take to a public hospital. That of the private hospital is not admissible in court. Chris never refused her access to her children; they were simply brought to the church because his mother and cousin were not at home. After bringing some policemen from Isheri to arrest Chris while he was at the pulpit, she still went ahead to Zone 2 to make another report.”
The PPRO Zone 2, SP Lewi Suleimann, when contacted said, “We are still waiting to get the file transferred from the Isheri Police Station. I would not like to comment much before we get the file.”

Lagos Stadium Now Prostitutes Den- Martins Osaile

Boxing promoter, Martins Osaile, has said most Nigerians stadiums across the country has been abandoned by the government and making them a shadow of themselves. He emphasized that the National stadium, sadly has turned into a prostitute den. According to him, someone built rooms all around the place making prostitutes to patronise the place and using it for their business, he told Punch.

“The National Stadium, Lagos has been turned to a brothel. Someone there built rooms all around the place and it is prostitutes patronising the place.
“They (officials) know about what is going on but they don’t care because they hire the place to people. All the under of the steps (of the main bowl) have been converted to small rooms, where they practice prostitution.” Continue after the cut.
“The situation was the same across most stadiums in the country, except for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, he said’’.

“I have never seen where facilities have been so abandoned. The Liberty Stadium (Ibadan) is dead. They said Enugu stadium is under concession but where are the concession papers? Only the Ahmadu Bello Stadium is a bit neat and this is because of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, who loves sports and comes from the state,” he concluded.

Police Officer Impregnates 13-Year Old Girl In Anambra

Wonders they say will never end. The police are at it again and this time, it’s between a police man in Anambra State and a 13-year old girl. Not only did the police man rape her, he also got her pregnant.

Initially the police officer denied it and his DPO supported his claims, before the girl’s father who is a pastor petitioned a human rights group and the state Commissioner of Police before the officer accepted he had canal knowledge of her.

The funniest part was that he claimed the sex was mutual, but the girl bluntly denied and said he ordered her at gunpoint to have sex with him on her way from school. Really sad. Below is how Vanguard reports it;
A police sergeant has been arrested in Anambra State for allegedly raping a 13- year-old daughter of a popular pastor at Nkpor in Idemili Council Area of the state.

The young girl, said to be two months pregnant told her parents last Saturday who was responsible for her pregnancy.

According to a close family source, who does not want to be quoted, the girl told her parents that the policeman had threatened her against telling anyone about the affair.

The source said the threat made her keep the secret until few days ago when she complained to her mother about some symptoms, which after thorough investigation led to her confession of being pregnant.

According to reports, the policeman initially denied the allegation and was supported by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, which made the victim’s parents to petition a human rights group and the state Commissioner of Police.

After the petition, the policeman was said to have accepted responsibility and agreed to take care of the girl till delivery.

He promised to be giving the girl’s family N20,000 monthly for the girl’s up keep, which the father turned down, demanding N300,000 to enable him take proper care of her daughter till delivery.

In the girl’s statement to her parents, she was quoted as saying that the policeman ordered her at gunpoint to have sex with him on her way from school, a claim the suspect denied, saying the action was carried out mutually between them and not by force.

When contacted, the state PPRO, Emeka Chukwuemeka confirmed that the command received such report but said investigations were ongoing with a view to ascertaining the level of culpability of the said policeman.
The command image‑maker, stated that proper investigation in the matter was necessary, because the state
Commissioner of Police, Usman Gwary, does not tolerate acts of indiscipline by his officers and men.
According to him, “the matter is under investigation and I will brief the press on it later.”

Revealed! How Boko Haram Recruits Youths With $3000

Culled from Tribune;

Young Nigerians at the border town of Nigeria and Niger Republic, Diffa, have confessed to be recruits of the Islamist militant group, Boko Haram.

A member of a gang in Niger told the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that Boko Haram Islamist militants from Nigeria “regularly come across the border, looking for recruits.”

The gang members, in their 20s, said they were paid $3,085 (about N500,000) to join the insurgency and since they were jobless, they were willing to take the cash, but with no interest in protecting Sharia law.

However, they said they were willing to strike if given the assignment to do so, as they blamed their decision to join the militant group on their joblessness.

“They have paid Nigerian naira ($3,085, £1,835) to those of us who followed them over there,” one of the young men said.

“When they come, we inform them about what’s going on, what the security forces are up to.

“We have no jobs; some of us are still at high school, but we need money. Violence has become a form of work for us.”

These confessions were revealed in a documentary published by the BBC, on Tuesday, after Thomas Fessy, a BBC reporter visited Diffa region in Niger Republic.

BBC made contacts with this local gang, who claimed they collaborated with Boko Haram and agreed.

According to BBC documentary, five of these young Nigerians said they had already joined the militant Boko Haram sect, while two other members were killed in operations.

In total there are about a dozen gang members in a tiny, dark room, built with local mud-bricks.

When the reporter asked them: “If you are asked to launch an attack here, will you be ready to do that?”

Their response: “Yes, we are ready. We have no job, so, we are ready. That is what we are here for.”

When the BBC reporter asked if they agreed with Boko Haram’s reason for fighting, they answered in unison: “No. We only do it for the money.”

Arriving one by one to meet the BBC crew earlier on a street corner in Diffa, they all wore skinny jeans, bright coloured T-shirts and shiny chains, like those seen around the necks of American rappers on music videos.

Their attitude and brand new clothes made them stand out when they walked down the dusty streets of Diffa.

The fashion style is clearly inspired by Western consumerism rather than Islamist militancy.

“We break into houses for cash; sometimes we beat people for money, we steal their animals so we can eat and then we gather up and take Tramol (an opiate drug), smoke ganja (marijuana) and drink alcohol,” one of the gang members said.

Primate Elijah Ayodele’s Bombshell! APC Will Not Make Presidency in 2015

Primate Elijah Ayodele has spoken again and this time his revelations will shock you. The primate while speaking with Ayomide Owonibi said Nigeria will manage to live together for another 30-50 years but he can tell you that the country will not stand in the next 100 years.

He also said the CIA has misled the government on Boko Haram and other countries will join Nigeria in the future to fight the deadly sect.  Speaking on politics the primate said PDP will win the presidential election come 2015 and if the Vice president is not careful, he will be replaced. He also said APC will not stand because they did not ask God before they came together. His words after the cut;

Visions for Nigeria in the first quarter of the year

Prayers are all what we need to keep the country intact, to bring peace to the country. As a matter of fact, a lot is still going to happen and Nigerians still need to be praying ahead. I am using this medium to appeal to all Christians and Nigerians who believe in the tomorrow of this country to pray.

If Nigerians can exercise patience, I see the economy booming. I see expatriates coming into this country because our economy would be one of the best in Africa come 2017. But the point is that we have to pray that God should keep Nigeria as one nation. The government has not really addressed the issue of one nation as expected. We need prayers for God’s divine intervention.

Nigeria’s unity

It may take 30 or 50 years but Nigeria cannot stay together for another 100 years.

Specifically, are you seeing Jonathan as President in 2015?

I am not talking about Jonathan here. I am talking about the party. I am saying again, PDP will make it in 2015. There is still going to be more negotiations. Honestly speaking, if the Vice-President does not sit up, his position would be used for negotiations. Most of the defected government if not all, two would come back to PDP. There would still be more defections. APC cannot fight PDP, as they don’t have the mandate. APC did not ask from God before they came together so they cannot stand.

Another thing is that the weather forecast in Lagos State, which said that rain would fall for 265 days is a lie. The Lord told me that it is a lie. There would be rain but not for 265 days. The meteorologists have made a big blunder. Nobody determines the work of God.

On insecurity

If this government tries to have any kind of amnesty with Boko Haram, it would cause problems for this country. The government should not take it lightly with Boko Haram; they should fight the war against them. I see other nations supporting Nigeria in the long run. Boko Haram would still make the FG spend a lot of money. On the issue of Boko Haram, the CIA has misled the Nigerian government about it. As said by the Lord, America should be blamed, as directed by the Lord. These people are not spirits. I don’t know whether the government is afraid to address things the way they are. They should address it from the roots.

We said it earlier this year that Abuja must be very watchful because there is going to be an attack on Abuja. The government should work more on security so that Nigerians can be protected.

Nigerians don’t understand when a man of God speaks. We should not blame many men of God who said things in the back that did not come to pass. Everything is in the hands of God. He is the one who has the final say about everything that happens. What I am saying in essence is that APC will not make the presidency in 2015, though it will be very tough.

What are your thoughts about the missing Malaysian plane?

The missing Malaysian plane is riddled with politics. The people should put pressure on the Malaysian government. There is more to that missing plane than meets the eye. I would say it again, the government is involved. The government should be queried about the missing plane. It is not a crashed plane at the moment, but a missing plane.

How about Rivers State?

If Rivers State is not careful enough, PDP might take over the state. PDP would [keep] Akwa Ibom. Also, if care is not taken, PDP would take over Sokoto State. These are the states that God has revealed to me that PDP would take over.

I see the flag of Nigeria changing. At the end of it all, there is still going to be another constitution review. I see that there is going to be something like a referendum. I see a confab where there would be an adoption of referendum. There would be elections in 2015 despite insinuations that there would be none.

Flamboyant lifestyle killed Chris Okotie's music career - Dede Mabiaku

Fela Anikulapo Kuti's protégé, Dede Mabiaku, in an exclusive interview with Encomium mag, said the reason Pastor Chris Okotie's musical career nosedived many years back was as a result of his excessive flamboyant lifestyle and his attitude of not listening to those who were guiding his career at that time.
"Nigeria has produced many great singers who promoted the culture of the band, among them were Mikel Okri, Feladay and Chris Okotie who is now a Pastor. He (Chris Okotie) was doing it live at that time but what he did at that time was not right. He had all the opportunity to help the young generation because he was the shining light but he killed the essence of it by his Flamboyance to the excess and his not wanting to listen to those  who were tele-guiding his growth. Let these young ones not fall prey to that, is what we are saying"

When asked what he thinks of Burnaboy and Oritsefemi who are trying to bring back the legacy of Fela through their songs, Dede said;
"Let me correct one impression. Fela played music live. Fela never used synthesized sound. Fela scored his music and his lyrics came along. Fela groomed his band with the sound he had scored. Ethically, he cultured a sound built within a band. After that, he now performed this song over a period of time before going to the studio to record. See the sequence. Now let us come to the present day artiste, what are they doing? They just go into the studio, make few sounds together, make hooks, roll it round and round and round within a certain amount of minutes and voice on it later. The work is supposedly packaged and you have a musical video that goes with it and you think that is what is similar to what Fela is doing? I am not saying what Fela did because Fela is continual. That is why people still listen to his songs so many years after his physical exit. He is the most regarded Nigerian musician ever. He is the most regarded African celebrated on Broadway. That is because he was doing it live.  These children need to go back to the basics. Go and learn instrument, go and culture band, culture yourself. What is happening now is destruction and disservice to the quality of work Nigeria music industry should have. Granted and agreed they have good voices, granted and agreed they have good packaging, please for God's sake lets not class these songs as Afrobeat. Afrobeat is the music that came for the people, it is a way of life. Do they follow the tenets of this way of life?  No! However I am happy that after so many years, some of them are beginning to realize that the only thing that will make sense is natural African sound that comes with natural African elements. That is why people who are really making it are Solidstar, Davido and Flavour. Burnaboy and Oritsefemi you talked about are also in this category. All they just need to do is to learn more about it and if they do this, it will take the Nigerian music and African music largely to the next level. I fought 2face tire over the matter. He listened to me in the end. Miming is not good for this industry, it kills it. Let's not glorify mediocrity.
