          It is certainly no news that what a man can do, a woman can and will do better. At the risk of sounding like a feminist, there are women who have and will continue to give the men folk a good run for their money. These women are maestros in their world; they have paid their dues and do know their onions. Like Shakespeare opined in Macbeth, “Some were born great, some achieve greatness while others have greatness thrust upon them… Whatever category these ladies fall into, one thing is unequivocal; they are great. Meet our top seven.

Certainly a chart topper, brilliant actress Funke Akindele commands attention any day any time without even meaning to. Asides the many pitfalls that have besieged her, she manages at every turn to rise above it all. Recently divorced, Funke added another feather to her cap when she bagged a special recognition award on Saturday August 10th, 2013 alongside icons like Sir Shina Peters and Broadcaster Ambrose Shomide. It was labeled 'for the excellent value they added to the Nigerian entertainment industry and all who witnessed it alluded to the fact that it was a well deserved honour for the volant actress.
