KAYODE OPEIFA ALLEGEDLY COLLECTS 6 MILLION NAIRA FROM IKEJA OKADA ASSOCIATION

Some time ago,Lagos State Government placed a ban on commercial bikes popularly called Okada it has been a war between Opeifa and the Ikeja Bike Association.

Silent Reporters gathered that the Commissioner ordered men of the Lagos Task Force and Police attached to the community to arrest any bike man spotted in that area, despite the fact that the bike association allegedly won a case against the State Government on the ban of bikes.

Our source told us that some months ago, when the chairman of the bike association saw that he was not making headway with the issue he contacted the Commissioner who allegedly asked the association to pay a Million Naira Monthly if they really mean business,they later reached a consensus that the association would pay five hundred thousand monthly.

Our source, said as soon as five hundred thousand was paid on Friday, July 2, for the out gone month of June the bike men swiftly returned to business.

A bike man who plys the Ikeja/Oba Akran road in Ikeja, Lagos says  ” we paid through our nose to be able to work”.
